# Club Resurrection — tester build

Thanks for testing! This gets **Dance Central VR** (PC / Rift) launching into
single-player again when it otherwise won't, and — if you want — posts your club
song scores to the Club Resurrection leaderboard and lets you play multiplayer.

## What's in this folder

- `Club-Resurrection.exe` — the loader (run this)
- `Club-Resurrection-Hook.dll` — boot fix + score capture; must stay next to the exe
- `Club-Resurrection-MP.dll` — the multiplayer helper; must stay next to the exe
- `Club-Resurrection-Bridge.exe` — the network sidecar the loader spawns for online
multiplayer; must stay next to the exe. Nothing is installed — it only runs while
you're in a lounge, and closing the loader shuts it down.

## Requirements

- Windows 10/11, Dance Central VR installed (PC / Rift, via Oculus/Meta)
- Microsoft **WebView2 Runtime** — already on almost every Windows 10/11 PC. If
the window is blank, install it (free) from Microsoft and relaunch.

## How to use

1. Run `Club-Resurrection.exe`. Leave the window open.
2. On the **Play** tab, pick a mode:
   - **Single player** — just fixes the game so it launches. No account needed, no
uploads. The lightest, most stable way to play.
   - **Community** — also uploads your club scores and achievements to the
leaderboard. Needs a key: go to **https://mrlotto.insomnia247.nl**, click **Log
in with Discord**, open **Account**, copy your **Loader API key**, and paste it
into the loader's **Settings**. While you're on the Account page, **attest your
DLC ownership** so any paid DLC you own unlocks in game.
3. Click **Start**.
4. Launch Dance Central VR from your Oculus / Meta library.
5. Play. In Community mode, finished club songs show up in the loader and on the
site. Your **Oculus achievement unlocks** are captured too and appear on your
profile's **Achievements** tab — the game re-fires many of them as you play, so
you don't have to do anything special.

## Multiplayer

Up to sixteen players can share a lounge over the internet. It bypasses Meta entirely
and connects the PCs over the **Club Resurrection network** — a self-hosted overlay the
loader brings up for you automatically. There's **no VPN to set up and nothing to
install**: the network is only up while you're playing, and closing the loader tears it
down. (Already run a Tailscale/Headscale client? The loader rides it directly and skips
the spin-up.)

The loader has separate **Host** and **Join** tabs. **Pre-arm is the easy path** — you
do the clicking at your desk before the headset goes on, and the loader connects you
automatically once you reach the Club.

**Hosting:**
1. Open the **Host** tab.
2. Click **Pre-arm host** (recommended), or **Host now** if you're already standing in
the Club. Launch the game and put your headset on — it opens your lounge
automatically once you reach the Club.
3. *(Optional) Publish it so friends can find it:* add any **notes** (e.g. a Discord for
voice), leave **Public** ticked to list it for everyone or untick it to share
privately, and click **Publish lounge**. You'll get a short **join code** — your
address is filled in for you, so there's nothing to type or read out. Your lounge
shows as **Getting ready** until you're actually in it, then flips to **Open** with a
live player count, and drops off the list when you leave.

**Joining:**
1. Open the **Join** tab.
2. Click an open lounge in the list, or type a friend's **join code** and click **Join**.
3. That's it — the loader gets you on the Club Resurrection network, connects you to the
host, and pre-arms the join. Launch the game and put your headset on; it joins
automatically once you reach the Club.

**On your own network or a LAN?** Both tabs have an **Advanced** section that hosts or
joins by direct IP, without the Club Resurrection network — the host gives their IP to
the joiner, who types it into **Join by IP**.

Notes:
- Host or join once per game launch. To swap roles, restart the game.
- Other players' **names** show in-game; profile **pictures** aren't wired up yet — that's
  cosmetic and still coming.

## Reporting problems

Tell us what you did and what happened. Two logs are written next to the exe:

- `Club-Resurrection.log` — boot fix + score capture (best for upload issues)
- `Club-Resurrection-MP.log` — multiplayer host/join (best for lounge issues)

Send whichever matches what you were doing.
